Frequently Asked Questions

How old does my preschooler have to be to start the Preschool and Beyond program?

We find that it is best for preschoolers to be at least 3.5 years old to start the Preschool and Beyond program. Waiting until at least 3.5 years old gives children time to mature so that it is easier for them to pay attention during short games and activities.

What is the Preschool and Beyond program like?

The goal of Preschool and Beyond’s kindergarten preparation program is to introduce concepts to your child in a fun, engaging way. Your child will have access to app-based games and hands-on activity plans that are customized to their level. We want your child to love learning new things so everything we teach in sessions is play-based and designed for a preschooler’s attention span.

What should I do if my preschooler is reluctant to work on academics?

It depends on the age of your preschooler. If you have a two-year old or young three-year old who is reluctant to work on educational games or activities, we would recommend waiting for them to mature a bit. Focus on talking with them constantly, reading to them and building their language and vocabulary skills.

If you have an older preschooler (4 or 5 years old) who doesn’t seem to enjoy educational activities, contact us. The standard way of teaching preschool concepts isn’t for everyone. Maybe your preschooler needs a different approach. After an evaluation, we can create an academic plan that is customized to their individual personality and needs. Let’s get your child on the right track before kindergarten starts.
